Event Schedule
Saturday May 17th
5-7pm – Mandatory racer check-in (waivers and distribution of lift tickets, if applicable, and timing chips) at Event Office – Aava Whistler Hotel

Sunday May 18th
10:00am–11:00am - athlete upload Fitzsimmons Chair & Garbanzo Chair
12:00 – Start of Race
6:00pm – approximate finish of last racer
7:00pm – Awards, GoFest Mainstage (Skiers Plaza)

GO Apres - Participants (over 19+years of age) will receive a token to enjoy an icy cold Whistler Brewing Company beverage at participating establishments throughout Whistler Village including Tapley’s Pub, Blacks Pub & Restaurant, Longhorn Saloon, Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub and Citta'

$300 per team

Participants can also register by contacting the Reservation Centre 1-800-766-0449 or in person at any of the Whistler Blackcomb Guest Services offices.

Discounted Whistler lift available for racers: $10 (valid for 1 upload on Fitzsimmons/Garbanzo chair)
Limited number of canoe rental will be available: $30 (includes paddles and life vest)

Individuals seeking teams and teams seeking individuals are welcome to join our orphans list.

• Teams composed of 5 to 7 participants
• At least 2 members of each gender are required on every team
• Minimum age 13 years

Course Description (to be confirmed)
Mass Start at top of Garbanzo, participants run to touring gear at Chic Pea. Touring equipment must not be set up. E.g. skins not attached, bindings locked into downhill setting.

Stage 1:
Ski or Snowboard Touring
Run from top of Garbanzo to Chic Pea to equipment
Down: Banana Peel -> Pony Trail
Up: Pony Trail -> Peak Chair Load -> Roundhouse Lodge
Down: Roundhouse Lodge -> Whiskey Jack -> Chic Pea
Up: Chick Pea -> Top of Garbanzo

Stage 2:
Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding
Dave Murray down to top of Red chair then Expressway all the way down to the road. Skiers/snowboarders will the run from the bottom of Expressway up the road a short distance and then down the run next to the Magic Carpet under Olympic chair.

Stage 3:
Downhill mountain biking
B-Line -> Funshine Rolly Drops -> Smoke and Mirrors -> Bluzium -> HoChiMin -> Longhorn -> Monkey Hands

Stage 4:
Village Stroll -> Turn left at Citta -> cross Whistler Way and head towards Whistler Golf Course -> Turn left on valley trail after HWY over pass -> Valley trail all the way around Golf course until bottom of valley trail near Crabapple Drive -> Valley trail out to Rainbow Park.

Stage 5:
Canoeing (2 people)
River of Golden Dreams -> Green Lake

Stage 6:
Cross country biking
Lost Lake bike trails -> Blackcomb -> Haul Back -> Skiers Plaza

• Helmets required for Stages 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6.
• Full face helmet required for Stage 3.
• Life vest and bailing bucket required for Stage 5.
• A limited number of canoe rentals ($30) available for Stage 5. This option can be added during registration.
• Either alpine touring or nordic / XC equipment may be used for Stage 1.

• Teams will be timed by timing chip that will be passed onto team members at the beginning of each stage (relay)
• Mass start - Timing starts when the sound horn blows

• Touring gear required

Stage 2 – 15
• Ski or snowboard required

Stage 3 – 15
• Knowledge of Whistler Bike Park preferred
• Bike preferred

Stage 4 – 20
• Must be fairly fit to either walk or bike ride to position

Stage 5 – 15
• May need to get their feet wet

Stage 6 – 20
• Must be fairly fit to either walk or bike ride to position
• Knowledge of Lost Lake Trails preferred
